  • 500g ground bison
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. Soak breadcrumbs in milk for about 5 minutes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine soaked breadcrumbs with ground bison, Parmesan cheese, onion, garlic, egg, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  4. Form the mixture into 16 evenly sized meatballs.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown the meatballs on all sides (about 5 minutes).
  6. Transfer browned meatballs to a baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes until cooked through.
  7. Serve warm with your favorite sauce or pasta.
