  • 450 g ground beef
  • 225 g mushrooms, diced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 240 g Greek yogurt
  • 4 pita pockets
  • 120 g shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • Fresh dill
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 0.5 cucumber, grated and drained

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until softened.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  3. Stir in mushrooms and cook until moisture evaporates. Season with smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  4. For the tzatziki, mix Greek yogurt with grated cucumber, minced garlic, lemon juice, chopped dill, and salt until smooth.
  5. Warm pita pockets and stuff them with the beef mixture and cheese. If desired, broil briefly to melt cheese.
  6. Serve with tzatziki sauce drizzled inside each pocket.
